Yes. All equipment is sized by height and age bracket. The exception is the abdominal guard, where female-specific designs are available - check individual product pages.
No. For a first season, a Kashmir Willow or entry-level English Willow bat performs more than adequately. The performance difference only becomes meaningful once a player has enough technique to feel and respond to it.
