What a complete kit adds. Beyond the essentials, a regular club cricketer needs a replacement grip within a season and a gripping cone to fit it. A complete bat care kit includes both, meaning the bat is sorted for preparation and the first grip change without needing to buy anything else for 6-12 months.

What a pro kit adds on top. Anti-scuff face tape and a padded bat cover complete the protection suite - the tape seals the face from scuffs and moisture, and the cover protects the bat in transit and storage. These are essentials for a premium bat (£250+) that you want to last three seasons or more.
