Product Overview
Real English willow, scaled for younger cricketers. The Size 4 Hurricane from Fore Sports gives juniors the same pro-grade English willow performance senior players enjoy, with a junior-friendly pick-up that lets kids swing the bat naturally and develop proper technique.
Pro-Grade English Willow for Junior Cricketers
Junior cricketers who play seriously deserve real willow, not lower-grade alternatives. The Size 4 Hurricane uses full English willow, the same gold-standard material we use across our senior range, professionally pressed and shaped for junior players. The blade is sealed and polished by hand for a sharp finish that's ready to play out of the cover.
The pure cane handle keeps the pick-up light and balanced. Junior cricketers don't have senior strength yet, so a heavy or unbalanced bat slows their swing speed and hurts their technique development. The Hurricane handle is sized perfectly for junior frames, giving kids the alive, responsive feel that helps them learn the game properly.
Size 4 typically suits cricketers aged 8 to 10 - but height and reach matter more than age, so check our size guide before ordering. A great choice for young cricketers building serious technique.
Why Choose the Hurricane Cricket Bat?

A: If your child is in serious academy or county-development cricket, yes - better willow gives better pickup and a livelier response, which helps technique. For casual school cricket, our Tornado range offers excellent value and is plenty good enough for the age group.
A: Yes - knocking-in is straightforward with a wooden bat mallet and patience. Light taps building up to firmer strikes over 4 to 6 hours, with regular oiling, will prepare the bat for first match use. We’re happy to advise if you have questions.
