Padel equipment is increasingly in demand as courts continue to open across the UK. Played in doubles on a glass-walled enclosed court, padel is significantly more accessible than tennis for beginners - the smaller court, underarm serve and wall play produce longer, more social rallies from the very first session. This collection covers padel rackets in round and teardrop profiles suited to recreational and developing players, alongside ITF-specification padel balls for use on standard indoor and outdoor padel courts. At Fore Sports, as padel grows in the UK, our equipment range grows with it - browse our Green Padel and Red Padel racket options to find the right starting point.
Why Choose Our Padel Equipment?
- Beginner-Accessible Range: Round and teardrop-head rackets with larger sweet spots make control easier while technique is developing - the right starting point for new padel players.
- ITF-Specification Balls: Our padel balls meet the pressure and size specifications for standard padel courts - not tennis balls, which produce the wrong bounce in an enclosed court environment.
- Multiple Colourways: Green Padel and Red Padel rackets available - choose based on personal preference or club colour matching.
- All Levels Covered: Equipment suited to first-time players through to regular club players stepping up from entry-level gear.
- Free UK Delivery Over £100: Order your racket and balls together and qualify for free UK shipping.
Key Features
- Forgiving Racket Profile: Round-head designs on our Green Padel and Red Padel rackets distribute the sweet spot widely, reducing the penalty for off-centre hits that are common while technique is being established.
- Correct Padel Ball Pressure: Our padel balls are pressurised specifically for padel courts, producing a consistent, controllable bounce on both indoor and outdoor padel surfaces.
- Lightweight Construction: Rackets in the 355–370g range are easy to manoeuvre and less fatiguing for players building racket-sport-specific arm strength.
How to Choose Padel Equipment
Round-head for beginners, diamond-head later. Round or teardrop-head rackets like our Green Padel have a wider sweet spot and give more control on off-centre hits. Diamond-head rackets generate more power but require precise contact. Start with a round or teardrop design and move to diamond once control is established.
Weight matters more than it looks. Rackets run from around 340g to 390g. Lighter rackets (340–365g) are easier to manoeuvre and less tiring in long sessions. Start light and add weight as technique and fitness develop.
Always use padel-specific balls. Our padel balls are smaller and run at lower internal pressure than tennis balls. Using tennis balls on a padel court produces a faster, less predictable bounce that changes how the game plays entirely.
Check whether your court is indoor or outdoor. Most UK padel courts use artificial turf with glass walls. Equipment here is designed for this standard. Browse our full padel rackets range for all available options.
